XPENG EXPANDS EUROPEAN FOOTPRINT WITH GERMAN MARKET LAUNCH

28th March 2024: XPENG Motors (“XPENG” or the “Company,” NYSE: XPEV and HKEX: 9868), a leading Chinese smart electric vehicle (“Smart EV”) company, today announces its official entry into the German market.

The launch comes as XPENG continues its European expansion, with market launches in France, Italy and the UK to follow. With strong sales figures already in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands, XPENG is aiming to secure a 3% market share for the new energy vehicle (NEV) segment in Germany by the end of the year.

Unlike other Chinese manufacturers, XPENG operates through an established network of dealers for its sales strategy. When sales start in May, XPENG will be represented at 24 retail locations across Germany, with a roadmap for this to grow to 120 retail locations by the end of 2026.

Through our dealer network with already established and EV experienced partners for both sales, services and parts, our models will be available to view and test drive at 24 retail locations across Germany.”

The company is set to launch its latest smart EV models, the G9 flagship SUV and the P7 sports sedan, in May, with a further model to follow in the coming months. Both models are already available in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands.

The XPENG G9 features XPENG’s latest powertrain system, battery technology, and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).

The XPENG P7 combines its signature sports sedan profile with greater range, faster charging and a brand-new smart cabin.

The company first announced its plans to enter the German market at IAA Mobility in Munich last September. IAA Mobility is the world’s largest mobility event, bringing together leading technology and automotive brands.

XPENG G9 is the company’s flagship SUV, featuring their latest powertrain system, with 800 V Silicon Carbide (SiC) platform for ultra-fast charging of up to 300 kW, allowing drivers to add up to 100 km of range in just five minutes. This makes it possible to charge the 98 kWh battery from 10 % to 80% in just 20 minutes.

The car also features the company’s latest battery technology and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), fully complemented by a luxurious and immersive cabin experience, as well as supporting easy and seamless over-the-air (OTA) updates that allow both software and firmware to be improved during normal use.

About XPENG P7

XPENG P7 combines its signature sports sedan profile with greater range, faster charging and a brand-new smart cabin. The car has been optimised with the maximum charging power of up to 175 kW, delivering fast charging from 10% to 80% in only 29 minutes. In terms of range, the P7 offers up to 576 km WLTP on a single charge (RWD Long Range). An electric tailgate and soft-closing doors are introduced for even greater comfort and convenience, along with a heat pump and heated steering wheel for more relaxing winter driving in the colder regions of Europe.

The all-wheel drive version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds. Brembo brakes also come as standard, giving drivers an extra level of control. All of this comes wrapped up in an exterior using XPENG’s “Dynamic Aesthetics” design language that creates a more dynamic sports silhouette.
