The new XPENG G6 became the first production EV to cover 1,000 km in under 10 hours, including recharge stops.
Taking place at Millbrook Proving Ground, the attempt showcased the real-world capability of the XPENG G6 using an unmodified, road-going vehicle driven in genuine operating conditions.
Over the course of the challenge, the vehicle completed more than 300 laps of Millbrook’s high-speed bowl while maintaining comfort, efficiency, and ultra-fast charging performance throughout the journey.

The vehicle completed 312 continuous laps of the 3.2 km high-speed bowl under supervised test conditions.
Driver Rotation
UTAC test drivers rotated throughout the attempt. To maintain full transparency, the time required to leave and re-join the track was included in the final recorded result.
Record Completion
The new XPENG G6 successfully completed 1,000 km in a ground-breaking total time of 08:25:10.

Using nearby DC charging infrastructure, the G6 completed recharge sessions averaging just 13 minutes, 20 seconds — helping achieve the landmark total run time.
Throughout the challenge, the vehicle maintained a comfortable and connected cabin environment with connectivity and infotainment functions remaining fully active.

Officially Overseen at Millbrook
The challenge was overseen and adjudicated by UTAC at Millbrook Proving Ground, one of the UK’s leading automotive testing facilities.
The new XPENG G6 completed the challenge using a production-specification rear-wheel drive long-range model fitted with a 66 kWh battery. Conditions throughout the attempt remained dry with temperatures between 7.9 and 15.6 degrees centigrade.
The vehicle maintained an average speed of 119 km/h (74 mph) throughout the challenge.
