All-new XPENG L03 launches in 65 markets, advancing the company’s global physical AI vision
MUNICH, Germany, 16 July 2026 — XPENG today unveiled the all-new XPENG L03 at the “XPENG Live. Physical AI for All: XPENG Brand Day and New Product Launch” event in Munich. It is the company’s first vehicle debut to take place simultaneously across 65 markets. The L03 is XPENG’s most global model to date, representing a significant step forward in its international growth and broader Physical AI vision.
The UK price and specification of the XPENG L03 is to be confirmed, with UK deliveries commencing 2027.
Positioned as a Next-Gen AI SUV Coupé, the XPENG L03 brings together four defining characteristics-supercar-inspired design, premium cabin comfort, flexible practicality and intelligent driving designed for global roads. Developed under the leadership of former Ferrari exterior design chief JuanMa Lopez, the L03 applies XPENG’s “Vital Flow” design philosophy through a wide-body stance, coupé-SUV proportions, fastback silhouette, frameless doors and a class-leading drag coefficient of just 0.228.
The cabin combines a 15.6-inch central display, W-HUD, immersive ambient lighting, intelligent climate control and lounge-style seating, while 37 storage spaces, generous cargo capacity and up to 1,500kg towing capability support everyday journeys and weekend adventurers. Built on XPENG’s full-stack in-house technology architecture, the L03 brings some of the company’s most advanced intelligent driving capabilities to global markets.
Designed to meet global five-star safety standards, the L03 is available in both pure electric (BEV) and L03 Power X (REEV) variants. Powered by XPENG’s Kunpeng Range Extender Technology, L03 PowerX gives users greater flexibility and a range-anxiety-free driving experience.
Packed with Intelligence
At its core is the latest NGP (VLA 2.0) – XPENG’s Next Generation Pilot based on its physical-world foundation model, which it plans to progressively roll out in Europe from 2027. Unlike conventional ADAS systems that focus on individual driving assistance functions, XPENG NGP (VLA 2.0) is designed to understand and navigate highly complex real-world driving scenarios, bringing intelligent driving closer to how humans perceive and respond to the road. The L03 is also powered by triple Turing AI Chips that deliver up to 2,250 TOPS computing power.
Beyond intelligent driving capabilities, the L03 debuts the international version of XPENG’s New Global Intelligent Cockpit Experience with XOS 6. At the heart of the experience is a next-generation AI voice assistant rebuilt to support more natural conversations, contextual understanding and seamless multilingual interaction. Rather than responding only to commands, the system can interpret user intent and intelligently adjust vehicle functions accordingly, creating a more intuitive and human-centred cockpit experience. The new capabilities will be introduced to users through future OTA updates.
Google Maps Partnership Announced
During the event, XPENG also announced a major partnership with Google Maps for vehicles outside China. This makes XPENG the first automaker from APAC to ship a vehicle with Google Maps Auto SDK (Software Development Kit) integration.
Through the SDK, XPENG will build its own navigation system, giving users access to foundational Google Maps technology and services in a custom XPENG experience. Users neither need to download the Google Maps app themselves nor rely on smartphone screen mirroring. Instead, they can enjoy the complete XPENG in-car map experience built specifically for its vehicles.
Importantly, XPENG will also harness Google Maps in-vehicle Map Data Services to support its NGP (VLA 2.0) as well as XPILOT Assist, the foundational assist system. Global users of the XPENG L03 will be the first to enjoy this upgraded experience among the other car models.
“At XPeng we believe that the level of AI technology in our vehicles will be the game changer for the mobility of the future. That is why one of XPeng’s key priorities is to always be amongst those manufacturers providing the customers with the most advanced technology,” said He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of XPENG. “We are building a Physical AI company. We want to use technology to change how people move and how people live. We believe technology should be for everyone. Not just for a few people. That’s why we work to bring smart technology to more people around the world.”
Beyond intelligent vehicles, XPENG continues to expand its Physical AI ecosystem across Robotaxis, humanoid robots and flying vehicles. As part of this vision, XPENG plans to introduce its humanoid robot, IRON, to global markets from 2027 and begin operational testing of its Robotaxi platform, while exploring future partnerships with global partners to support the development of autonomous mobility services in Europe and beyond.
In Europe, for Europe
The L03 embodies XPENG’s “In Europe, For Europe” strategy, combining globally developed technologies with features, experiences and infrastructure designed specifically for European users. More than 60,000 European households have already chosen XPENG, and the company continues to deepen its long-term commitment to the region through local R&D, strategic partnerships, charging infrastructure investment and continued market expansion.
For XPENG, Europe is not simply a market to enter, but a market to build with. Through local development, such as with its independent R&D facility in Munich, and technologies designed around European users and driving environments, XPENG is laying the foundations for its next phase of growth in the region, bringing its vision of Physical AI-powered mobility to more customers across Europe.
